Week of August 21st, 2017
This week we have two exciting events:
1. The solar eclipse is on Monday morning. A letter was sent out on green paper last week regarding how the solar eclipse is going to be run. Please make sure that you check that document if you would like to view the eclipse with your scholar. We will be having indoor recess that day in the hopes that our curious scholars won't be tempted to look directly at the sun.
2. Curriculum night is on Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:30. Please plan to attend this parent only event. Our team will be going over the structure of the year, classroom procedures, grading procedures and much more.
There may again be some indoor recess days this week, due to the excessive heat. If you would like to send a deck of cards or a board game with your scholar (we could keep a few in the classroom until it cools off), that would be wonderful. We want them to have a chance to socialize and relax, but it's been very hot outside.
